From the most mundane daily activities like carrying groceries from the car to playing with children or grandchildren at the park, our instructors help make these actions a breeze and help our clients stay pain-free. JOB DESCRIPTION
Good Body Pilates Studio, Inc. is located in Santa Monica, CA, and we are currently seeking experienced, personable, highly motivated, and timely Certified Pilates instructors to teach in our fully equipped studio. Our boutique studio is looking to add additional classes, privates, and duets due to overwhelming demand. Pilates Instructors must be open to working Saturday mornings between 8am – 12pm, and must be available to teach weekdays between 7am-11am and 3pm-7pm. Mid-day hours potentially available too. This is not a complete description, and certain responsibilities may additionally be presented along the course of employment:

•Arrive 5 minutes before your scheduled private, duet, or group class to prepare yourself, equipment, and the studio; and to check in client[s] for a positive and welcoming atmosphere and to make sure they are up to date on their packages.
•Teach and demonstrate Pilates techniques to private, duet, and group classes of all levels based on the client’s goals, strengths, and weaknesses.
•Ending privates, duets, and group classes on time and assisting clients in cleaning and reorganizing their equipment to where it was before class.
•Develop positive relationships with private, duet, and group class clients by teaching a variety of challenging, innovative, and effective exercises / sequences.
•Educate class participants and private clients on Pilates studio etiquette, correct form, modifications, and options for all participants, as well as offer verbal adjustments as needed. Hands on adjustments are based on your discretion.
•Attentively listen to clients, answer questions, and engage in conversation before and after classes and private sessions.
•Strive to keep clients accountable, consistent, and having fun while helping to build and retain business.
•Clean and organize the studio as needed before / after each group fitness class or private session. We require our studio clients to clean everything they touched after each session. You will assist in making sure this happens.
•Adhere and adapt to all current and new Good Body Pilates Studio, Inc. policies, procedures, and initiatives.
•Report any unsafe conditions or situations that require attention immediately.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
•Must be certified on all Pilates apparatus, and/or have completed a Comprehensive Pilates teacher training course with a minimum of +450 hours.
•Energetic, positive and motivational teaching style
•Capable of incorporating a contemporary approach to classical exercises.
•Experience teaching a variety of clients in private, duet, and group sessions.
•The ideal applicant is a professional, punctual, and independent instructor who can confidently take on new classes and clients and can successfully maintain a client base.
•High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.

Pay Transparency: $45-$55 per private, duets, or group class; $16.90/hr for all non-class work; ability to earn bonuses. Rates are subject to change based upon experience.
